We are delighted to reveal the winning designs in our competition to design a Christmas card for 2024. Last month, we reached out to the local organisations and community groups who are beneficiaries in our Youth Empowerment Scheme (YES Fund).
Children from the 30 different organisations, from across Merseyside, were asked to come up with a design on the theme ‘Together as one at Christmas’ with two chosen designs, one for the Violence Reduction Partnership and one for the Police and Crime Commissioner, being sent out to wish partner organisations, across the region, a Merry Christmas.
The children really got into the Christmas spirit, giving the judges a difficult decision in choosing the winner. Following a competitive process, the selected designs were as follows:
- MVRP – Children from Autism Adventures, All Saints Church Hall, Speke.
- PCC- Kaitlin Murray, 10, from Netherton Park Neighbourhood Centre.
The children from Autism Adventures designed a very colourful card, showing several of the iconic lambananas, with the message ‘Wishing an Inclusive Christmas for all’.
Ten year old Kaitlin Murray from Netherton Park’s design centred around a pretty green Christmas tree, adorned in decorations and presents with a police badge atop in place of the traditional angel or star.
Congratulations Autism Adventures and Kaitlin!
The winners will receive a small prize for their efforts but we are very grateful to all the amazing young people and organisations that took part in this years competition.
